Carlton D. Stansbury, JD

Carlton D. Stansbury is a shareholder with Burbach & Stansbury S.C. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  He is listed in Best Lawyers of America, one of Wisconsin’s Top 10 Super Lawyers, and he is AV pre-eminent rated in both Martindale-Hubbell’s lawyer directory and in the Judicial Edition.  He was the Editor-in-Chief of the Wisconsin Journal of Family Law for approximately six years. He is a fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a fellow in the International Academy of Family Lawyers.  He has held leadership positions with the Wisconsin Chapter of the AFCC, Wisconsin Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, State Bar of Wisconsin Family Law Section, the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin, Inc., the Society of Family Lawyers, and the ABA Family Law Section. He also served as the American Bar Association Advisor to the Uniform Law Commission Drafting Committee on the Uniform Collaborative Law Act.   He graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law with distinction.  He has spoken to audiences throughout the country and published in many publications on a variety of divorce and child-related topics.
