Symposium on Standards of Practice for Family and Divorce Mediation

Convened by AFCC, the American Bar Association Family Law Section and the National Council of Dispute Resolution Organizations

AFCC, in collaboration with the American Bar Association Family Law Section and the National Council of Dispute Resolution Organizations, convened the Symposium on Standards of Practice for Family and Divorce Mediation to update existing standards developed in the mid-1980s.  Between 1998 and 2000, three meetings were convened involving representatives from more than thirty organizations resulting in the 2000 Model Standards of Practice for Family and Divorce Mediation.
